With the political tide turning against the relevance and continued existence of the Upper House of the Oireachtas, this year's Series attempted to answer the question, "Is the Seanad Worth Saving?" Speaking on the night were:
Senator Ivana Bacik BL, Senator for the University of Dublin, barrister and Reid Professor of Law, Trinity College;
Michael McDowell SC, former Attorney General, former Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, legal academic and barrister;
Charles Flanagan TD, Chairperson of the Fine Gael Parliamentary Party and former spokesperson on Justice, Equality and Law Reform.
